This is my first Z-BRUSH pendant design! I just learned the basics of shadowbox earlier today. STILL a work in progress, but getting there. I did this in one day, and still found time for a videogame earlier, exercise and a shower, lol!! This program is so much faster than traditional.
The fur still needs work, it needs subdividing, the wings need refining, the loop is still blank (I'll do something with it)...and of course the tiger needs stripes!
I used to sculpt something similar to this at age 12-13 as a kid . I'm 30 now and that was the last time I sculpted a tiger!! I have been dying to do this as a pendant for a very long time, but have been avoiding it due the the symmetrical nightmare it would be...not anymore! THANK YOU Z-BRUSH, FOR SYMMETRY! I will shut symmetry off when it's closer to done though; to vary the fur for a more natural look.
If all goes to plan, when this is done, I'll get it 3D printed...possibly in two sizes (one biggish and one small). Then once I have my print, I'll mold and cast it, and make duplicates. So this will be for sale if all goes to plan, for all you tiger lovers! For the stripes, I may do shallow indentations, so when I paint wash the finished resin pendants...the wash will fill up the stripes making them dark! I'm very excited about this, please leave me comments on what you think! I'll be returning to working on Crumpet Crawler soon too, I'm just being helped with some mem issues I'm running into (I need to learn to break up that model I think).
Artwork copyright 2013 Angela Pileggi, do not use this, thanks (AKA, AMP, Meadowknight).
At first he looked like a bear to me, but then I noticed the muzzle is definitely tiger. Don't tigers have pointier ears? In any event, nice job and probably another pendant of yours that I will purchase, lol!
Yeah he needs pointier ears! This has only had a day put into it, lol...so I'm still tweaking pieces of it....and the fur will all be smoothed out, that's just the texture of the clay build up brush in z-brush.
Thank you! Yeah..I'm sorta jumping between projects in Z-brush to get a lot of practice in...there's just so much to take in, there really isn't enough time in the day to watch all the needed tutorials AND get actual practice in. I'll get there, I just wish I had more time, lol.
In any event, nice job and probably another pendant of yours that I will purchase, lol!
