Feisar squirrel!

This is an original design I came up with, based on the futuristic racing video game series "Wipeout". I made him as a Christmas gift for my friend Dean...and there's a story behind it. I'll give the simple/brief version XD.

Dean was one of the ship modelers on Wipeout HD Fury (along with other various work on the series over the years), and we became buddies here on DA. He not only works on the series but he's a fan. In addition to that, he has a pet squirrel named Simon! He's an animal lover like me, and also a fan of cartoons....so I combined these likes of his for a special Christmas gift . I couldn't post these until now or it'd have ruined the surprise when he checked his DA watch, lol. I made them mid December and took these photos a while back before shipping them to him.

The blue one (refer to links for the painted versions) is my original paint scheme for the character (odd/futuristic/stylized), and the gray one is done in honor of his pet Simon. Simon has allot of brown on him, but mixing brown and gray didn't look right with the cartoon style...so I stuck with gray as Simon is a "gray squirrel" by title. The original figure was sculpted using Supersculpey FIRM, then sanded, molded, cast, and painted (I did every step of this process). I also added matte, and gloss clear coats (gloss on the eyes). Each figure stands just under 2 and a half inches tall.

I've been a fan of the series since 1995, so I had allot of fun creating these figures along with my cosplay from last year.
