Ruins WIP in Sketchup

I'm just now learning Sketchup, and this is something I'm currently working on . No criticism on this one please, I've only just started learning.

I didn't use any reference for this...just messed around and wanted to see what I would come up with.

My goal is to get to know the Google Sketchup program so I can learn to do paint overs in Photoshop. I have NEVER been able to grasp perspective which has seriously held me back as an artist. I think this program may be my ticket to artistic freedom outside of sculpture . I'm fairly good at sculpting and painting...perspective and lighting on a flat piece of paper? Not so much. I think learning this stuff will help me overcome my weak points as an artist! I'm super excited !

As for this scene...it's some made up ruins in the middle of the forest. I'm making it up as I go, lol. I'll be messing with the trees and placing them all around the ruins...I'll probably keep them simple though since this will just be a paint over. I probably overdid it with the bricks but I was having fun.
